KIDC Ranking System
The Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps has a system of ranks
based partially on age but mostly on participation in the club
and it's activities and events. (More detailed information on
all of these departments can be found in the Diplomatic Planetary
Handbook, which is part of the KIDC membership kit.)
Black Level Pins
Cadet, Lance Corporal, Corporal, Sergeant
Bronze Level Pins
Staff Officer, 2nd Lieutenant, Lieutenant, Lt. Commander
Silver Level Pins
Major, Commander, Captain, Lieutenant Colonel
Gold Level Pins
Colonel, Consul, Chancellor, Ambassador
BLACK LEVEL
Cadet
The rank of Cadet is awarded to members from 6 to 9 years
of age. They will also hold the title of Officer-In-Training
in whatever department they serve within the Klingon Imperial
Diplomatic Corps. The possibility of promotion exists under two
conditions: change in age, or extraordinary service to the KIDC.

Lance Corporal
The rank of Lance Corporal is awarded to members from 10 to
14 years of age. They will also hold the title of Officer-In-Training
in whatever department they serve within the Klingon Imperial
Diplomatic Corps. The possibility of promotion exists under two
conditions: change in age, or extraordinary service to the KIDC.

Corporal
The rank of Corporal is awarded to members from 15 to 19 years
of age. They will also hold the title of Officer-In-Training
in whatever department they serve within the Klingon Imperial
Diplomatic Corps. The possibility of promotion exists under two
conditions: change in age, or extraordinary service to the KIDC.

Sergeant
The rank of Sergeant is the basic rank awarded to new members
over 20 years of age. (Black Circular Pin with four dots)
BRONZE LEVEL
Staff Officer
The rank of Staff Officer is awarded to members who have begun
to participate regularly in the activities or responsibilities
of their department and have made a significant effort in attempting
to recruit new members to the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps
and to spread word of the KIDC in their local area or sector.

2nd Lieutenant
The rank of 2nd Lieutenant is awarded to members who have
begun to show improved responsibility with regards to activities
and events within the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. They
are likely to have recruited at least a half dozen members for
the KIDC on their own initiative. They also regularly promote
awareness of the KIDC in their local area or sector. (Bronze

Lieutenant
The rank of Lieutenant is awarded to members who have begun
to show initiative and leadership ability within the Klingon
Imperial Diplomatic Corps. These members have had a consistent
record of recruiting and promotion of the KIDC in their local
area or planetary sector. (Bronze Circular Pin with three dots)
Lt. Commander
The rank of Lt. Commander is awarded to members who have shown
good initiative and leadership ability within the Klingon Imperial
Diplomatic Corps. These members have had a consistent record
of recruiting for the KIDC in their local area or planetary sector
and have made a significant contribution to the promotion of
the KIDC and its ideals at local conventions and media events
over a number of years.

SILVER LEVEL
Major
The rank of Major is awarded to members who have shown an
ability to take responsibility for important aspects of major
events and promotions that are organized by the Klingon Imperial
Diplomatic Corps. They have a consistent record of recruiting
for the KIDC. They should be able to communicate effectively
to their subordinates and to make regular brief yet complete
reports to their superiors. (Silver Circular Pin with one stripe)
Commander
The rank of Commander is awarded to members who have shown
a consistent leadership ability over a number of years. They
have taken command of major events and promotions that are organized
by the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. They show excellent
judgement when dealing with their subordinates as well as with
members of the media. By now, they should have assumed responsibility
for the leadership of one of the departments of the KIDC or are
under special orders from the Ambassador herself. (Silver Circular

Captain
The rank of Captain is awarded to members who have shown a
consistent leadership ability over a number of years. They have
taken command of numerous major events and promotions that are
organized by the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. They show
excellent judgement when dealing with their subordinates as well
as with members of the media. By now, they should have begun
to assume responsibility for the leadership of one of the planetary
sectors of the KIDC or are under special orders from the Ambassador

Lt. Colonel
The rank of Lt. Colonel is awarded to members who have shown
a consistent leadership ability over a number of years. They
have initiated and/or organized numerous major events and promotions
on behalf the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. They show excellent
judgement when dealing with their subordinates as well as with
members of the media. By now, they should have assumed complete
responsibility for the leadership of one of the planetary sectors
of the KIDC or are under special orders from the Ambassador herself.

GOLD LEVEL
Colonel
The rank of Colonel is awarded to members who have shown a
consistent leadership ability over a number of years. They have
initiated and/or organized numerous major events and promotions
on behalf the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. They show excellent
judgement when dealing with their subordinates as well as with
members of the media. They are responsible for the complete leadership
of one of the planetary sectors of the KIDC or are under special
orders from the Ambassador herself.

Consul
The rank of Consul is awarded to members who have shown a
consistent leadership ability over a number of years. They have
initiated and/or organized numerous major events and promotions
on behalf the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. They show excellent
judgement when dealing with their subordinates as well as with
members of the media. They are responsible for the leadership
of one of the planetary sectors of the KIDC and are under special
orders from the Ambassador herself.
A Consul has overseen one sector of the planet for some time
and has helped it to develop into an important aspect of the
diplomatic mission: a Konsulate. The Consul has the responsibilities
commesurate to running a smaller version of the Klingon Imperial
Embassy. Consuls are to report directly to the Ambassador herself
on a regular basis.

Chancellor
The position of Chancellor is unique; there can be only one
Chancellor at any one time. The Chancellor serves as a trusted
advisor to the Ambassador and helps to coordinate all activites
of the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps and oversees major aspects
of the organization and administration of the running of the
diplomatic mission in conjunction with the Chief of Staff.
This rank is awarded on the basis of consistent leadership
ability over a number of years. The Chancellor is under special
orders from the Ambassador herself and is to report and is directly
responsible to her alone. Under special or extraordinary circumstances,
the Chancellor is authorized to take over all of the responsabilities
of the Ambassador on a temporary basis. (Gold Metal Bar with

Ambassador
The position of Ambassador is unique; there can be only one
Klingon Ambassador on a specific planet at any one time. The
Ambassador is directly responsible for all matters connected
to that particular planetary diplomatic mission. The Ambassador
may and does delegate various responsibilities to the many departments
within the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps. She is responsible
only to the leaders of the government of the Klingon Empire,
namely to the current Leader of the Klingon High Council and
to the Emperor Kahless II.
The Ambassador is aided in her position by her Command Staff;
a team of twelve trusted advisors who have proven themselves
to be loyal members of the KIDC. The Ambassador will consult
with at least two of them before making any decision of fundamental
importance to the organization and running of the Klingon Imperial
