Klingon Diplomatic Corps
The branch of the Klingon Leadership concerned with the development
of relations with other galactic races.
Azetbur
The daughter of Gorkon and the only known woman leader of the
High Council. She succeeded her father after his assassination
in order to carry out the peace talks with the Federation. It
is believed that her leadership continued until the establishment
of the Khitomer Peace Accords.
(This role was portrayed by actress Rosanna
DeSoto.)
Gorkon
Leader of the Klingon High Council until assassinated in 2293.
"Chancellor" Gorkon was the first High Council leader
to promote peace with the Federation of Planets. He took this
stance in part because of his views of the future of a purely
militaristic Empire and because of the disaster on the Klingon
moon Praxis. He was historically the first Klingon diplomat.
(This role was portrayed by actor David
Warner.)
K'Ehleyr
Federation Ambassador to the K'mpec government. Supervised numerous
projects for the Federation/Klingon governments including the
repatriation of the crew of the T''Ong sleeper ship and the eventual
appointment of Jean-Luc Picard as K'mpec's
Arbiter of Succession. She was the mother of Worf's son Alexander
and was murdered by Duras
when he found that she had uncovered his father's treason.
(This role was portrayed by actress Suzie
Plackson.)
Kell
Ambassador and special emissary. Believed to have helped settle
the dispute in the Kriosian system with the help of Jean-Luc
Picard. However, later he was found to be a Romulan spy. Since
the Romulans were found to be the instigators of the Kriosian
uprising, his part in the settlement must be questioned.
Klingon Ambassador Koord
The Klingon Representative to the United Federation of Planets
prior to the Khitomer Accords.
